4) After repairing, your system will restart and boot into Windows 7.

How to lock a folder in windows by not using any 3rd party software

Hi! friends as I know that many of you don't want to download a 3rd party software to lock down things .

While the steps below will guide you in creating a hidden and password protected folder, this method is not 100% secure. It will deter the average computer user enough, but an advanced user will be able to access the contents of this folder

1. Open the folder you want to password on , right-click on a blank area in it, then select New -> Text Document from the pop-up menu.

2. Open the text file you just created by double-clicking it and copy/paste in the following text:

5. In the folder you created back in Step 1, double click the locker.bat file and there will now be a new folder named Private where you can put anything you want.

6. Upon exiting, double click the locker.bat file again. It will prompt you to answer whether you want to lock your folder or not. Press Y and the private folder will disappear.

7. In order to retrieve the Private folder, all you have to do is double click thelocker.bat file and enter the password which you set in Step #4 and the folder will appear again for you to access.

Increase the Capacity of Your PenDrive by NTFS Compression

Hi Friends Today computersaviez bring you a way to increase the space of the pendrive  don't take in the wrong manner that 1GB pendrive would increase to 2GB pendrive but the space of the pendrive would also increase a bit and the files you paste in the pendrive would take much less space than normal.

There are many kinds of File Systems such as FAT, FAT 32 and NTFS but one of the main advantage of the NTFS file system that it has a compression option. Which means if you copy a File with the Size of 50MB in a Drive with Compression enabled NTFS File System it may take only 30MB.

The file system of Pen Drives are usually FAT and if you don’t Have the NTFS option

on your Pen Drive’s provided software then do the following:

1. Go to Start then Run then cmd and press enter.

2. Type convert X: /FS:NTFS ( Where X is your Pen Drive name )

The File System is now converted to NTFS. Now its time to enable compression:

1. Go to My Computer and Right Click on your Pen Drive Icon and select Properties.
2. Select Compress Drive to Save Disk Space and then OK.

3. Then Select Apply To Sub Folders and Files and select ok ( if Asked)

All Done, the free space of the pen drive will increase and if you copy anything in the drive it will take less space. Enjoy !!!
